ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM Gets Official with its Dual-Core ATOM N550 Powered NetBook
ASUS has beat everyone to the punch when it comes to shoving that dual core Atom N550 (1.5 GHz) into a netbook and has officially announced the ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM which is basically a 1015PE with the dual core processor. This netbook gets official on September 13th, 2010!!
The ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM will have a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 display, 1 – 2GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB HDD, GMA 3150 graphics, support 720p and come in four colors – red, black, white and pink. In terms of performance, the ASUS 1015PEM Netbook has clocked at speeds at least 23 percent faster than single core Intel ATOM processor netbooks.
In addition, ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM Netbook features the ASUS-exclusive Super Hybrid Engine technology that ensures all-day computing, delivering a battery life of up to 13 hours. And in terms of storage space, the ASUS 1015PEM Netbook comes with a 250GB or 320GB hard drive along with 500GB of online storage space thrown in, making it the ideal cloud computing tool.
The netbook also includes latest USB 3.0 that speeds up file transfers ten-fold when compared to USB 2.0 to give users high speed data transmissions. The USB port can also charge mobile devices even when the 1015PEM is switched off. In addition, it features latest Bluetooth v3.0 that speeds up mobile device sync times, making them up to eight times faster than the previous Bluetooth standard.
