Intel “Sandy Bridge”-Based Toshiba Satellite A660 Now Shipping

The Intel “Sandy Bridge”-based Toshiba Satellite A660 16-inch entertainment laptop can be ordered now.

The available Toshiba Satellite A660-BT3N25 and Toshiba Satellite A660-BT3G25 notebook models feature Intel Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor at 2GHz that can run at up to 2.9GHz in TurboBoost mode, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and up to 750GB hard drive, while optical drive choices include DVD burner, Blu-ray combo, and Blu-ray burner. The A660-BT3N25 comes with the Intel HD integrated graphics, whereas the A660-BT3G25 sports the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M 1GB dedicated video card and includes NVIDIA Optimus switchable graphics technology.

Both notebooks have 1366×768 LED backlight displays and Fusion X2 Finish in Charcoal, and run Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional OS.

The new A660 models also feature Harman/Kardon stereo speakers, Dolby Advanced Audio technology, optional keyboard backlight, web camera and microphone, and HDMI output. One out of four USB ports supports USB 3.0.

The Toshiba Satellite A660-BT3N25 with integrated graphics starts at $899.00 (Toshiba Direct), while the Satellite A660-BT3G25 with GeForce GT 540M starts at $1,029.00
