Acer has launched at new netbook at MWC – the Aspire One D257.
Unfortunately it only exists in a press release and there’s no mention on what platform (Intel? AMD?) this runs on. We’re hoping it shows up in the following days. Design wise, it seems like a very subtle evolution of the D255. Some clear changes – the power button seems to have moved to the left screen hinge, the trackpad is longer invisible and the lid gets a ripple image. It’ll come in a variety of colors including blue (pictured) and bronze / brown. No word on pricing or availability either.
Acer has introduced two new Notebooks to its Aspire Series, they are the Acer Aspire 5253 and Aspire 4253 which were both designed for Family Use, whether it is productivity, educational uses or entertainment.
The 15.6-inch Aspire 5253 and the 14-inch Aspire 4253 both get CineCrystal LED-backlit displays, they are powered by AMD’s E-series Accelerated Processing Unit, VISION Engine graphics for stutter-free HD movies and up to 8GB of Memory. Other specifications of both Notebooks includes WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n connectivity, an integrated HD WebCam, optional Bluetooth 3.0 and a memory card reader.
The Acer Aspire 5253 and Aspire 4253 AMD Notebooks will be available in Mesh Black, Mesh Brown, and Mesh Red. No pricing information has been found on this new Notebook.
The Acer Aspire AS5253-BZ684 affordable laptop with an AMD Fusion “Zacate” APU can be purchased now in the US.
One of the first available “Zacate”-based notebooks features the E-350 chip that incorporates a 1.6GHz dual-core main processor, the ATI Radeon HD 6310 integrated graphics, and UVD 3 high-def video decoder.
The Aspire AS5253-BZ684 includes 3GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, DVD burner, a 6-cell battery for “up to 3 hours 20 minutes” of battery life, 1.3MP web camera, a mono speaker, 802.11n wireless, Gigabit LAN, HDMI output, three USB ports, and a 2-in-1 media card reader.
The 5.7-pound laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
It is priced at between $449.99 (Kmart) and $482.94 (Amazon).
Acer has introduced a new netbook dubbed the Aspire E100 and the E stands for Education… or maybe Europe. Notebook Italia reports that Acer is working with the European Schoolnet on the project.
For the most part the E100 looks like a standard Acer netbook. The key differences are that schools can customize the mini-laptop with their logos, and there’s a pocket for students or teachers to put a label with their names. Acer also preloads some education oriented software including the Acer Classroom Manager which lets teachers monitor and interact with students using the laptops.
The Acer Aspire E100 features a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display, a 6 cell battery, a 250GB a hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 and Ethernet. There’s an Intel Atom processor inside the netbook, although Notebook Italia doesn’t specify which Atom chip. I’m guessing N455, N475, or N550 since the computer uses 1GB of DDR memory.
Like some versions of the Acer Aspire D255 and D260 netbooks, the E100 can dual boot Windows 7 and Google Android.
There’s no word on whether the netbook will be launched in the US or other markets outside of Europe.
The recently leaked Acer Aspire One AOD522, the first netbook with an AMD Fusion APU, is now available for pre-order.

Acer’s 2.87-pound Fusion-based mini laptop has a 1.3MP web camera, HDMI output, 802.11n Wi-Fi, three USB ports, a multi-in-one media card reader, and a chassis design like in older Aspire One models.

The price of Acer Aspire AS5742G-7200 is $ 750 and is very much affordable laptop which combines with graphics and performance into fifteen inch laptop.
It may not possess the high level of graphics as they are direct X 11 a compatible and a more capable way of dealing the modern resolution of monitor. It is the most economical and affordable for those who care for budget which are not capable of three dimensions graphics. With the average battery life the users will have to anyhow content themselves. It is enhanced with four GB PC three -eighty-five hundred DDR3 memory in Acer Aspire AS5742G-7200
Acer officially announced the 10.1″ AMD Fusion based Aspire One 522 back at CES last week but I didn’t see any mention of a shipping date.
Sooner than later more likely as Amazon.com has both the Diamond Black and Olive Green models up for pre-order, for $329.99 although with no shipping date set.
We know the specs already – a 10.1″ 1280 x 720 display, Ontario AMD C-50 APU (1GHz, dual core), Radeon HD 6250 graphics, 250GB HDD, 3x USB ports, HDMI out, webcam, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 10/100 LAN, Windows 7 Starter and a 6 hour battery. Weighs 2.87 pounds and comes in at 1-inch thick. Chassis is not new and borrowed from an earlier design. Like Acer always has done, we will see multiple models, some with optional Bluetooth and 3G and perhaps varying battery capacities.
