ASUS Eee PC 1015P cleared by the FCC

ASUS Eee PC 1015PFirst we got to fiddle with it at CeBIT, then we saw a boatload of press images (You may notice that’s a picture of the 1015PE up there – don’t fret, the two models look identical), and now the Eee PC 1015P has taken an important step to becoming a reality – it’s gone through the FCC.

The 1015P is part of the Eee PC Seashell series, features a really nice big trackpad, chiclet keyboard, Atom N450 processor (anybody want to take bets on how long until it gets updated with an N455?), that svelte Seashell chassis, and a touted 14 hour battery life.

Still no official word on when this model will hit, but, for the US at least, it can’t be long now!
