It’s been up in UK stores up for preorder for quite a while now but it seems to have gone official now – I’m talking about the dual core Atom N550 version of the ASUS Eee PC 1018P netbook.

The 1018P is already old news and we’ve heard previously that it’ll get the upgrade to this dual core processor but nice to see it finally arrive officially. It is still one of the thinnest and lightest netbooks available today.

It’s expected to ship over there this week priced at 349 pounds, available in black or white. It’ll have the following specs – Intel Atom N550 processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB HDD, 10.1″ 1024 x 600 display, 0.3MP webcam, 2x USB 3.0, USB 2.0, Gigabit LAN, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0+HS and Windows 7 Starter.

Asus has finally released the much-awaited Eee PC 1018P  in Italy.

The one released in Italy is the same model that we reviewed few weeks back. It comes with Atom N475 1.83GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM and USB 3.0 ports with sleep-n-charge function.

Available in 2 colors, black and white, the netbook will cost you 400 Euros, which is a fairly decent price for such an elegant netbook featuring N475 processor, DDR3 RAM and USB 3.0 ports.

Earlier the Asus 1018p was only available for pre-order. Finally, it can now be purchased from Amazon for 530 dollars. The netbook for sale has Atom N455 1.66GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM , 250GB HDD, 10.1-inch WSVGA display, 0.3MP webcam and 3x USB 3.0 ports. I reviewed the Atom N475 version which is hair faster than the this one.
