Asus UL20FT coming to Japan

Asus UL20FT will be making its way to the Japanese land on September 11 with the price tag of 74,800 Yen ($900).

This mini-laptop features Core i3-330UM processor with Turbo boost technology that delivers much better performance than any Atom processor till date making it an ideal companion for those looking a bit more horsepower than a standard netbook. It sports a 12.1-inch glossy display with 1366×768 pixel resolution.

Other specs include 2GB RAM (up to 8GB supported), 320GB HDD, Intel HM55 Express chipset, LAN, 802.11n Wi-Fi, BT 2.1, 3x USB 2.0 ports, VGA, SD card slot and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition. It delivers 5.6 hours of runtime which is decent for a 1.56kg mini-laptop packing a Core i3 processor and measuring just 296 × 210 × 25.1mm.

Asus G53JW, G73JW Gaming Laptops with GeForce 460M Launched

Asustek has released the Asus Republic of Gamers G53JW and G73JW gaming laptops, featuring the latest Intel Core processors and an Nvidia Geforce “Fermi”” 400M series video card.

The 15.6-inch G53JW and 17.3-inch G73JW come with the GeForce GTX 460M with 1.5GB of DDR5 VRAM, Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, including quad-core i7, dual hard drives providing up to 1.5TB of capacity, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and a DVD burner, Blu-ray Combo drive, or Blu-ray writer.

Regarding displays, the 15.6-incher and 17.3-incher use LED backlight and have resolutions of up to 1920×1080. The G53JW will be additionally available with a 3D capable display, according to specifications.

The new gaming notebooks also include TNX TruStudio audio technology, stereo speakers, a subwoofer in the G73JW, a built-in 2MP web camera and microphone, 802.11n WiFi, optional Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, HDMI 1.4 output, a single USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports, and an 8-in-1 media card reader.

The Asus G53JW-A1 and G73JW-A1 models are available for pre-order and are priced at $1,499 (ExcaliberPC) and $1,799 (Amazon), respectively.

AMD Geode Based ASUS Eee PC 1201K Makes It To Italy

Earlier this year ASUS went official with a new addition to their 12-inch lineup – The ASUS Eee PC 1201K, however instead of going for better specs with more power the 1201K goes in the other direction.

It swaps out an Intel Atom processor for a cheaper but more power hungry AMD Geode NX 1750 processor (1.4GHz with 14- 25W TDP), SiS 741GX graphics chipset and swaps out Windows 7 for Windows XP. Clearly an 12-incher for the budget minded.

It has finally been found on sale in Italy priced at 329 euros ($329). Other specs include 1GB DDR2 RAM, n Wi-Fi, 6-cell 4.4ah battery, 10/100 LAN and a 0.3MP webcam.

ASUS Eee PC 1215N Now Shipping In The US $499

Earlier this week we saw the ASUS Eee PC 1215N 12-inch ION 2 powerhouse netbook making the review rounds in the US but no one mentioned a release date, and no stores have it in stock except one – ExcaliberPC. Turns out, they now have the 1215N in stock, both in black and silver, priced at $499 with free shipping.

The specs listed – 12.1″ 1366 x 768 display, Intel Atom D525 processor (1.8GHz, dual core), Nvidia ION 2 graphics, Nvidia Optimus, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB HDD, 0.3M webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 6-cell 6 hour battery and Windows 7 Home Premium.

ASUS Eee PC 1215P with Atom N550 Available in Germany

German e-tailer PC IT Shop has started offering the new ASUS Eee PC 1215P 12.1-inch ultraportable/netbook, featuring the latest Intel Atom N550 dual-core processor.

The Eee PC 1215P runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS and includes 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, a web camera, and a VGA port.

It’s offered in black and silver color and has a price tag of 446,90 Euros (566 USD).

ASUS Eee PC 1015PN ION 2 Netbook Up For Pre-order in France

When I initially did a hands on with the ASUS Eee 1015PN 10-inch netbook a couple of months ago at Computex 2010, I had confused it with the Eee PC 1015N. Both are identical and have next generation ION graphics with Nvidia Optimus however while the 1015N has a dual core Atom N550 processor while the 1015PN has a single core Atom processor. The dual core Atom N550, and the 1015N are both still a while away however the 1015PN is coming soon – it has been spotted up for pre-order in France with a price tag of 399 euros and a stocking period of within 30 days.

The ASUS Eee PC 1015PN has a 10.1″ 1024 x 600 display, Atom N475 processor, GMA 3150 graphics, next generation ION graphics (16-core, 512MB RAM), 1GB DDR3 RAM, 2.5″ 250GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n Wi-FI, 10/100 LAN, stereo speakers, mic, 0.3MP webcam, 6-cell battery (4,400 mAh or 5,200 mAh) and Windows 7 Starter + Express Gate OS.

For ports: 3x USB 2.0, audio jacks, VGA, HDMI and LAN. Weighs 1.38kg or 1.27kg.

The store listing and the fact that Blogeee has some official looking pictures means we should be seeing the Eee PC 1015PN very soon. No official word in other countries just yet.

ASUS rolls out B series laptops with Boston-Power’s Sonata batteries

Well, it looks like HP is no longer your only option to get Boston-Power’s “game-changing” Sonata batteries — ASUS has just announced that it will be offering the long-life lithium-ion batteries as standard equipment on its new B series laptops. Those come in both 14.1-inch and 15.6-inch versions — the B43 and B53, respectively — and are available with your choice of Core i5 or Core i7 processors, ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 or integrated Intel graphics, 2GB or 4GB of RAM, a standard 320GB hard drive, and ATI Eyefinity support to accommodate two additional displays. As for those Sonata batteries, while they won’t last much longer in day-to-day use, they do promises to work at 80% of their capacity for three years, which is backed up by a three-year warranty. Look for the B53 to hit retailers immediately starting at $1,099, while the B43 is said to be coming “in the near future” for an unspecified price.
