It is now possible to get the HP Mini 210 with the dual-core Atom N550 processor that should pack more punch than the single core Atom N455/N475 processors. This model also comes with Broadcom Video accelerator which makes 1080p video playback possible.
Available in 5 colors, charcoal, red, rose, frost and ‘ocean drive’, the Mini 210 is a fine netbook boasting almost full-size keyboard and amazing battery life. It will be interesting to impact of dual-core processor on the battery runtimes.
Asus has on display this next generation ION 2 netbook sporting the new Nvidia Optimus technology. This new netbook is called Asus Eee 1015N which has a 10.1-inch 1024×600 pixel display and is the first Asus netbook to feature the Next Gen ION (ION2). The keyboard is chiclet-type and both the body and display are non-glossy, which means, bye-bye fingerprints!
The Asus 1015N is powered by the Atom N450 1.6GHz processor, but the main highlight is its GPU from Nvidia that would allow you to play hi-def content and play some of the latest games like Super Street Fighter 4 and NFS Shift. It comes with 1GB RAM (upto 2GB supported); 250GB HDD and a 6-cell battery. Just like any other netbook in the market, it runs Windows 7 Starter.
Update – Thanks to notebookitalia.it, we now know that the Asus 1015N features the Atom N550 processor which is a dual-core netbook processor. Also, the sources say that the price is going to be around $400
