Compaq Presario CQ56-115DX 15.6 inch Offered for $300 at Best Buy

The 15.6-inch Compaq Presario CQ56-115DX is probably the cheapest full-size laptop PC in the US market at the time of this writing.

Priced at $299.99 at Best Buy, with free shipping included, the ultra-affordable Presario CQ56-115DX by HP incorporates a low-end and power-efficient AMD V-Series V140 2.3GHz single-core processor and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics. It also has 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB hard disk drive with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-loaded, a DVD burner, and a 1366 x 768 LED backlight display.

The battery life is up to 4 hours and 15 minutes, according to the product page.

HP’s CQ56-115DX has three USB ports, and Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN connections, but lacks a webcam and HDMI output.

It sports a simplistic black chassis and weighs 5.6-pounds.

Compaq Presario CQ62-209wm Laptop Overview

The Compaq Presario CQ62-209wm by HP is one of the cheapest dual core 15.6-inch notebooks in the U.S.

Besides the 1366×768 LED backlight display and the AMD Athlon II dual-core P320 CPU at 2.1GHz, the pre-configured Compaq Presario CQ62-209wm features the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics, 3GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, DVD burner, 6-cell battery, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

This 5.5-pound budget laptop also has stereo speakers, built-in microphone, Wi-Fi and Ethernet LAN connections, three USB ports, and VGA output. However, it doesn’t include a web cam, memory card reader, and HDMI output. These features are present in the HP G62-339WM with the same core compontents and very similar chassis.

The Presario CQ62-209wm is Walmart’s exclusive laptop. It’s priced at $398,00 (Walmart).
