Refreshed HP Pavilion dm3t 13.3″ Laptop Now On Sale

Hewlett-Packard has refreshed the HP Pavilion dm3t 13.3″ thin-and-light consumer laptop.

Around 1 inch thin Pavilion dm3t starts at 4.15 pounds. It now features the Intel Pentium U5400 ULV (ultra-low voltage) or Core i3-330UM ULV CPU with Intel HD integrated graphics and reduced power consumption, whereas the previous generation dm3t included the Core 2 Duo ULV. The notebook comes with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, up to 640GB HDD or a 160GB SSD, a 6-cell battery, and a separately sold external DVD writer or Blu-ray combo drive. Its LED-backlight display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

HP’s “coolest laptop” incorporates new CoolSense technology. It consists of strategically placed vents that minimize heat and channel it away from the PC’s base, and HP Thermal Assistant, which “detects whether you’re using the laptop on a desk or around your house and then automatically shifts into maximum cooling or maximum performance mode”.

The HP Pavilion dm3t also includes optional backlight on the chiclet keyboard, a web camera, microphone, Altec Lansing stereo speakers and Dolby sound technology, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetoooth, Gigabit Ethernet, optional mobile broadband with GPS, three USB ports (third shared with eSATA), a 5-in-1 media card reader, and HDMI and VGA outputs.

According to the product specifications, the 13.3-incher has a battery life of up to 7.5 hours.

Regarding design, it has a metal alloy chassis and “resilient soft-touch coating” on the lid.
