MSI has released the Wind U135DX LA Dodgers Limited Edition Netbook PC. The Netbook comes with the LA Dodgers logo and a special color scheme.
The Wind U135DX gets a 10-inch LCD display and is powered by an Intel Atom N455 Processor running at 1.66GHz, there is a 250GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM. Other noteworthy specifications of the Wind U135DX LA Dodgers Limited Edition includes a 6-cell battery, WiFi Connectivity, and a 1.3 Megapixel webcam.
The build quality of this netbook is what you can expect from the MSI WInd when it was first released, its good. But the keyboard and the design is also the same as when it was first released. Its a shame MSI never carried on developing this product, it was a great little netbook when it first came out but since everyone else has innovated there are better options on the market. However, if you’re a Dodgers fan and just have to have it, you’ll be glad to know that there are worse netbooks on the market!
MSI has released the Classic Series CR650, the company’s first notebook with AMD Fusion technology.
The 15.6-inch MSI CR650 includes the AMD E-350 APU, incorporating dual CPU cores at 1.6GHz, the Radeon HD 6310 graphics and UVD 3 HD video decoder. Other specifications include DDR3 RAM, up to 500GB of storage, a DVD burner, 1366×768 LED-backlight screen, and Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
MSI’s Fusion-based laptop sports a 720p webcam, stereo speakers, 802.11n wireless, Gigabit LAN, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports, and a 4-in-1 media card reader.
The notebook weighs around 5 pounds and has a new gradient color design.
There’s no word on pricing and availability.
MSI’s Wind U160 and U160DX 10-inch netbooks are old news already, and their new U160MX, released in Italy, will be old news pretty quickly because there’s barely anything new here apart from a new brushed metal lid (instead of gloss) and minor design tweaks – the trackpart button has been pushed in and no longer covers the front edge, and the part above the keyboard is slightly different.
Nothing you’d notice better unless you looked pretty carefully.
There’s no AMD Fusion here, or even an Atom N570, just the Atom N550, a glossy 10″ 1024 x 600 display, 1-2GB of DDR3 RAM, 160GB / 250GB HDD, a 3-cell or 6-cell 5,200 mAh battery (which protrudes out the back like the rest of the U160 series) and Windows 7 Starter. It’s out in Italy for around 300 euros.

PC maker MSI helped to jump-start the netbook revolution in 2008 with some of the most exciting budget 10 inch notebooks available at the time.
But the company has been pretty quiet for much of 2010, launching a few minor revisions of its netbook and laptop lineup. Things could get a bit more exciting again in 2011, now that MSI is preparing to launch an 11.6 inch laptop running AMD’s new Zacate chipset.
The Zacate chip combines a low power CPU with high performance integrated graphics capable of handling HD video, 3D gaming, and other tasks that you would normally need a discrete graphics card to handle.
The MSI U270 has a 1366 x 768 pixel display, up to 500GB hard drive, and up to 4GB of RAM. The Zacate processor is a 1.6GHz chip which uses 18W of power or less. The laptop has 1 USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, VGA and HDMI output, and an SD card reader.
MSI has just outed its latest 3D-friendly laptop, the CX620 3D.
Outfitted with a Core i5 (or a Core i3, if you’re looking to save a few bucks), this 15.6-incher also gets up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 GPU, HDMI / VGA outputs, 320/500/640GB hard drive, a DVD writer, two USB 2.0 sockets, an ExpressCard slot, 4-in-1 card reader and a pair of stereo speakers. You’ll find Windows 7 Home Premium runnin’ the show, while 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, gigabit Ethernet and a 1.3 megapixel webcam all make expected appearances. There’s no telling how long the six-cell Li-ion will last once the deathmatch gets going, nor how much it’ll cost when it lands sometime between now and who knows when. But hey, 3D!
The MSI Wind U135 is a rather mundane looking netbook most of the time, with a case design that hasn’t changed much since the company launched its first netbook, the MSI Wind U100 in mid-2008. So what’s the best way to give the U135 a bit of spice? How about bedazzling it with Swarovski cyrstals?
Notebook Italia dug up the details on a new model called the MSI Wind U135DX Crystal. Spec-wise it’s pretty much the same as any other Wind U135 netbook, but the lid has a bit more bling… if that’s what you’re looking for in a netbook.
The laptop has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, 1GB of RAM, and a 10 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel display. The Wind U135DX Crystal Edition will be available soon in Europe. There’s no official word on pricing or global availability.
MSI stops short of calling the graphics switching technology within the FX600MX “Optimus,” but it’s pretty obvious what’s behind the curtain.
The outfit’s latest 15.6-incher is equipped with a Core i3 or i5 CPU, Windows 7 Home Premium, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 320/500GB hard drive. There’s also a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 310M GPU, and MSI has thrown in a handy control panel to make switching from discrete to integrated a lesson in simplicity. Moving on, you’ll find a DVD SuperMulti drive, two USB 2.0 ports, a 4-in-1 card reader, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, gigabit Ethernet, an HD webcam and a conventional six-cell battery. You’d be wasting your time hoping for a price and release from these guys, but usually a proper announcement means it’ll be on shelves soon.
MSI has announced the FR600 3D multimedia notebook with 3D graphics technology and THX TruStudio Pro surround sound with 4-channel speakers.
The 15.6” FR600 3D includes LED-backlight 3D display, the Intel Core i5 Processor, integrated Intel HD graphics, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 640GB hard drive, DVD burner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and HDMI.
MSI’s 3D laptop runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS.
There’s no word on pricing and availability.
MSI has updated the G Series gaming laptop line with the GT663 15.6-inch model, featuring the Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M dedicated video card.
Besides the GTX 460M with 1.5GB of GDDR5 video memory, the MSI GT633 includes a Core i7 quad-core processor, three DDR3 memory slots for a maximum of 12GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage using two 500GB hard drives, a DVD burner, and a LED backlight display with “full HD or HD” resolution.
The notebook has DTS Surround Sensation UltraPC audio technology and built-in 2.1 speaker system, a 720p/30fps web camera, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Gigabit LAN, and HDMI and VGA outputs.
MSI’s GT663 incorporates Turbo Drive Engine+ technology for “boosting system speed for enhanced processor and display performance” and Cooler Boost technology for enhanced system cooling. Both technologies can be activated with a single touch of a dedicated hotkey above the keyboard.
The laptop weighs 7.7 pounds and runs Windows 7 OS.
There’s no word on pricing and availability.

MSI launched the Wind U160 netbook along with a few other 10 inch models earlier this year.
At the time they were shipping with the same boring 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processors found in most other netbooks of the day, but Netbook News reports that MSI will soon introduce a new version of the U160 with a shiny new Intel Atom N550 dual core chip.
The overall design o the netbook hasn’t changed. It still has an island-style keyboard, a touchpad with a bumpy texture, and a 6 cell battery that sticks out from the back and bottom of the laptop.
